This is the institution. The aisles you can get lost in, not lost like confused, lost like transported. The labels you know how to read. The jar you spotted across the room, and immediately understood. The products that recognize us of each other.

The Beauty Supply is a cultural composition that archives the place where we accumulated, aisle by aisle, year by year, generation by generation. Designed in partnership with Dr. Yaba Blay, our Founding Artist-in-Residence, this piece honors the institution and everybody who knows it by heart.
